せんしゅうはスミスだいがくのきゅうかでした。わたしはよくねました。（I was sick! :( )　テレビをみました。ビデオをもみました。It was pretty boring...：P


So, I had a pretty lame vacation... and now I'm making a blog out of it! I know, I know, not very interesting. I would have liked to say something like:

土曜日はパーチイーにいきました。日曜日はにデートをしました。

But instead, I was stuck in bed for both days! >< Oh well, there's always next vacation...

わたしわスミスだいがくのいちねんせいです。This is a greeting we made in our Japanese Class. I'm fidgeting a lot and the sound is a little shabby, but here you go!

わたしわりゃんです。わたしはスミスだいがくのだいがくせいです。いちねんせいです。これはわたしのボログです。

Hey all! This is the part where I type in English because I don't know how to say it quite in Japanese. Like I said before, my name is Ryan and I'm a student at Smith College. I'm taking Japanese because I think it's awesome! And learning languages is awesome, too! I am proficient in Spanish, almost-fluent in German, fluent in English (except when it's very late or very early in the morning...) and I am now studying Japanese. I decided on Japanese because I figured that I should have an East Asian Language under my belt, if possible. Japanese is the culture whose media I am most attracted to (yes, I do like anime and manga), so... here I am studying it!
I'll be posting blogs regularly as I learn to say more and more things in Japanese, but until then...
